Turning on its Head - Part II

Let me not brandish myself yet another time in describing the Header which was to an extent explained in the Part I. Readers for the first time read >>> Turning on its Head- Part I  else carry on with the following.   8FMHJ6F4HHHA

During the 3rd week of January when NCTC was Unilaterally announced by the Home Minister we had deluge reactions from as many as 9 Non Congress CM across India. Before I go any further, Me Personally favour such  a Law to tackle Terrorism despite being Pro -BJP. But I dont least expect many of the BJP followers to accept  as they are entitled to their own Opinions.

BJP was hiding behind the Federalism (encroachment of Centre into the State Law and Order) actually BJP opposed this only becausce it knew that its Proximity with some of the Outlawed from the ABVP and certain Individuals outsted from RSS & Sangh have taken terror as the only possible Solution to protect Hindus??. As such I feel let down by the BJP double standard when it comes to the Issue of Terror.

In 1999 when the IC 814 was hijacked to Khandahar the then BJP Govt did the biggest Mistake of releasing Saeed Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmed and Maulana Masood Azhar. BJP going soft was highly condemnable. Anti terrorism first thumb rule is not to Negotiate with Terrorist. The released Masood Azhar founded the Jem ( Jaish e Mohammed)  which has accounted for Killing as close to 1200 Military Personals and close to 2000 Innocent Killings. In a way the BJP needs an explanation for giving an Oppurtunity of Window to create a Terror Group. Having said that I have no technical or Moral suggestions to offer on the Crisis involved in the 1999 Hijack.

Coming to 3rd week of JAN when there was a common Platform for the Non Congress to oppose the NCTC. There was (read >> Face OFF between the Centre and the States ) one Man quickly wanted to be ahead of the bandwagon and Project himself as a future and a Possible Prime Ministerial Candidate, His PR exercise went to an extent that he might lead a combined Opposition taking on board everyone but BJP ( considered to be Extreme Right Ideas not suitable to this Gentleman and few others ), he started vigorous engagement with Most of the CM's including Jayalalitha ( the only one candidly admitted that Centre might haunt the Non congress Govt through the enactment of NCTC ).

Well this Gentleman Naveen Patnaik from Odisha put his foot down on "NO"  to NCTC was talk of the National Media for about a week. He created a wide range of Speculation from forming a third front to a possible Next PM. He even pushed the ever Limelight hoggers like Swamy out of the National News for a Week. Should Naveen Patnaik release the Prisoners

The tale took a sudden turn first when the two Italian NGO ( had I been in Power I would have considered them to be expandables) by the Maoist, Negotiation started cause of Media Pressure and from the Centre (as well from the Italian embassy). It further took an ugly turn when one of its own Young Tribal MLA was kidnapped.

Confused Patnaik after failing to Negotiate with the Maoist charged that the Centre is not doing much for the release ( Did he by any chance forget that the Law and Order is a State Subject and the Centre should not encroach on the State! Federalism) . Whatever the limelight he got during the 3rd week of Jan took a "Turning on its Head". He was neither able to release the hostage on his own nor control the Maoist in his own backyard! Alas after a week of mulling over it seems Reality is different. Last week, Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal (BJD)-led administration in Orissa caved in to every demand made by a Naxalite outfit led by Oriya leader Sabyasachi Panda. The administration released every prisoner that the Naxals wanted, in order to secure the release of a single Italian named Paolo Bosusco, who they had held for a month in captivity.

As everyday passes out we get to see different version on the Crisis! Now the so called Center-O- Center Party ( which does not want any linkage either to BJP or Congress) had to follow one of the Party's line.

Either take a leaf out of BJP's  precedent of 99 Hijack episode release the dreaded Maoist and later keep counting the Many more dead bodies of Innocents,CRPF Jawans and the State Policemen. By doing this they are going to strengthen the Process of Maoist Strategy of this sequence! or Implement NCTC to root out Maoist which the Home Minister advocating (Operation Green Hunt). Adding to Woe the Odisha Police Association on Monday threatened to boycott anti-Maoist operations if the State government released any hardcore Maoist to secure the release of the hostages.

Iam Sure Naveen Patnaik can find a place to hide his face but what remains the larger question is why go soft on Terror, the only Possible reason I could derive is that all Political heads do not fall under any threat because they roam as usual with Z+ categories and their only aim is not to be in the limelight for the wrong reason so they try to find a quick way out not taking into account what would be the bigger damage in store for them at the later stage.

The Commoners are the one who had to suffer as their Kith and Kin are exposed to Train blast, Bus Blast, Land Mine on Defence trucks, Blast in Arms Depot and at the end of each cowardly act the likes of Mr Patnaik's give relief to the Victims family! Alas there ends the beginning of new such episodes.

High time Patnaik's and BJP's put the National Interest before their Ideology and  take into consideration the Interest of the safety of the People! We People of India need to live without the fear of Terror!

But all this writings and resentment will have no effects on the like of many Patnaiks in the country who under the pretext of Political leader consolidate their Party than the People who are being ruled by them
